Within the hair fibre, keratin protein chains are connected by disulfide bonds. These bonds play an important role in giving hair its strength, elasticity and ability to maintain its shape. Colouring, lightening and other chemical or heat-based treatments can damage some of these bonds, leaving the hair more fragile, dry, weakened and prone to breakage. PURÒ™ is applied to damp hair after a technical service. Its technology enriches water vapour with active oxygen (ozone), which interacts with the hair’s keratin structure and helps restore disulfide bonds altered during technical treatments. The process also helps stop further colour oxidation and seal the hair cuticle. As a result, the hair structure is able to retain up to 87 % more moisture, become more resistant to breakage, preserve colour vibrancy for longer and achieve a smoother surface.
